In Laptop,
Once in our life time we must have encountered the touchpad problem. You turn on the laptop and you see no mouse pointer and you can do nothings. This situation is very frustrating. There are mainly 3 reasons this problem can occur. I will discuss them all here and how to solve those.
Solution 1 : (Touchpad is disable)
You turn on your laptop and you can't see any mouse pointer(In some cases you can see the pointer but it won't operate). This problem might be happening because in your touchpad settings the touchpad is disable. Now to solve this problem:
Open your search bar by simply clicking on your windows button. Then type touchpad settings and you can see the settings option. Hit Enter
Then
See if the touchpad is off or on. If it is off then turn it on by clicking tab or your down or up arrow to reach at that section then hit enter and your touchpad will be active and you will see the mouse icon. Here goes your solution no.1
Solution 2 : (Update device manager option)
From here you will need a mouse to solve this problem if the previous solution doesn't work. First you need to go to the search bar and type Device Manager.
Then click on it and you will enter in this section.
See in the Human Interface Device is the touchpad driver available or not(if not then go to solution 3). If you can see the touchpad driver then just right click on it and hit the update button.
You should also update this two section from System devices by right clicking on them and hit the update button.
Hopefully this will solve your problem.
Solution 3 : (Download and install the driver)
If in the solution no. 2 you can't find any driver then go to google search bar and search for touchpad driver by typing your laptop's full model.
(I searched by my laptop model and the steps are almost same for all the other laptops)
(The steps are same, for this section I will use my laptop which is Asus Vivobook)
(It's the official website of Asus) When you will find the required website for your driver just write down the specification(if needed) and hit search button.
When you can see the touchpad driver maybe same brand but other model you can download the driver. It will may work. (Other model's driver worked for me)
Then unzip the driver file and open the installation file by clicking Run as administrator. Then install the driver. And give your laptop a restart.
This last solution will hopefully solve your touchpad problem, I am sure of it.(If your hardware is ok XD)
Grt work
